Rain forecast was erroneous

 June 25, 2023

Century Farm CG site 23

St Martins, NB

Momma said she can't believe our luck.  That 80% chance of rain turned into rain at night.  We had another marvelous day...and even some blue sky after the morning mist lifted.

Uncle Steve's water heater has been asking to be pampered.  Something about having to go outside, to the rear of his coach, flipping open the door and massaging it because the inside coach on/off switch wasn't getting the job done.  Now when you add a bit of rain into the mix as in last night at shower time, it brings the situation to the front of the line for attention needed.  Yep, today's project... which led to additional projects.

I offered to help but the guys said having my nose in the way just wasn't productive.  Momma played ball with me instead which was super fine with me.

Aunt Carol and Momma left the boys to their manly tasks.  The gals loaded up in the Ram and decided to explore St. Martin.  They were treated to the opening weekend of the Market held in the Four Seasons building.

There were a handful of vendors selling craft items as well as jellies and pickles.

The next stop was
where collectibles and antiques were available for purchase.

The gift shop they stopped in

had a very nautical theme to it.

Down by the harbor, they found a couple more gift shops as well as Octopus Ice Cream.

So the story goes, Grandma was eating her ice cream when the grandkids asked what flavor she had.  Thinking they would want her to share, she told them the flavor was Octopus.  'eeww' was the response and she enjoyed her dish of ice cream by herself.

This gift shop added personality plus to the harbor area.

But this wasn't the only shop to display flowers.
Or how about a repurposed purse that acts as a flower pot?
Upon returning to the campground, Momma and Aunt Carol found the guys using Uncle Steve's binoculars.  Dad's were stowed away in the Ram which of course was off site with the gals.  Uncle Steve said they shared his.  Dad said they caused quite a stir with Uncle Steve looking out one eye piece while Dad looked out the other eye piece.  Momma said she wanted a picture of that!!😂

What prompted the binoculars was the fleet (of two) boats that were making their way out to sea.  They appeared to be good sized fishing boats.  Maybe they were the ones that captured the lobsters that were sold at the harbor??

As the evening drew to a close tonight, the gang finished the last round of Mexican Train with the double zero round. It was a bit later than usual when they quit playing, as they had started the evening off with the double 12.  It was a relaxing day so no one minded at all.

I wonder if the weather will be kind to us again tomorrow?

I'm Chloe
