Empty pockets

 June 19, 2023

Wassamki Springs CG

Scarborough, Maine

Our route took us to this stop because of a college friend of Auntie Carol's.

Caroline and her husband Glenn live in Portland.

The day began with a massive wash job to scape off all the road goo from the vehicles.....campers and tow vehicles.  We had traveled through light rain that brought all the road scum to life and it attached itself to us as we zipped up the highway.  To say we were dirty wouldn't even come close to just how messy we were, but with a bit of soap, water and hand massaging....

everything sparkles once again.

Seeing as the temperature was in the 60's today, Momma decided it would be a good baking day.  Peanut butter cookies were baked while the bread was rising.

Uncle Steve and Aunt Carol had gone off visiting with their friends at their home before traveling down by the docks.

And enjoying a delightful dinner while catching up.

I was waiting patiently for her return,

smelling that home baked bread aroma that filled our rig.
That got my appetite cranked up and I was ready to empty Auntie Carol's treat pocket.  Well, what a disappointment!!  Would you believe there was only ONE....as in just a single, solitary, lone treat in her pocket.  What's up with this?   You did what, Auntie Carol?  You shared treats with Caroline and Glenn's dog?  Well, at least you did save ONE for your favorite 4 legged😀

I'm Chloe
