Pumpkin Patch RV Resort site 17
Hermon, Maine
Today was spent with half the day on chores and the other half was a day for exploration by the 2-legged. Momma and Dad got a bit carried away with this 'cleaning' streak. The washer was humming this morning and come noon time, I saw Dad hooking up the hose to the outside shower. Mmmmm... Then he tested the water for temperature. Momma appeared with a bottle of shampoo... but I thought she just washed her hair last night?? Oops, she's got her tubby apron on... and that's my dog shampoo. Now I have to admit, I do enjoy the massage, but I really don't like water in my face.
But now I have a lovely smell and such soft fur. I guess you could say, "Life is Good". Just be sure to grab your sunglasses as my coat is VERY white and bright!!
While I relaxed after my tubby, the two-legged loaded up in the Jeep. The first stop in Bangor was a viewing, from the outside of the fence only,
of Stephen King's unique home and gateYes, Auntie Carol, that really does look like a spider web. And you can't make it out in this pic, but the house number 4 7 is embedded in the spiders' bodies. The house can only be viewed from the sidewalk.
I'm not sure if this carving on the lawn has a name, but it sure has a ton of detail. Most of the homes on this street appear to have plenty of square footage and character. Check out the house next door. With three chimneys in view, there has to be at least 3 fireplaces.
The next stop not only pleased the guys, but I was delighted as well because Momma purchased another package of rawhide bones for me. Dad was pleased to find DEF at a reasonable price. The last place he had tried to purchase some only had the 'twice the price' brand on the shelf. The reasonable priced box was sold out. And Uncle Steve and Aunt Carol each found a couple of items to purchase, although I think I'd enjoy sharing Auntie Carol's caramel corn more than I would enjoy sharing Uncle Steve's chunks of metal.
