Catch up day

 June 11, 2023

Western Village RV site 186

Carlisle, PA

Today was a 'catch up' day.  A day to sleep late for some.  A day to restock the pantry and refrigerator...in other words....grocery shopping day.  And a day to get caught up on games.

I played ball with Dad in front of our site.  Momma, Dad, Aunt Carol and Uncle Steve played corn hole in front of Uncle Steve's rig....actually it was on the next site.

As mentioned before, the sites are rather close and the 'weekend warriors' headed out today to give us a bit of breathing room.  The Hime's challenged the Griffin's and I have to admit, Momma and Dad made me proud with their winning performance...not once, but three times!

With such gorgeous weather, the two-legged decided to play Mexican Train outside

While on the March Caravan with Golden Triangle, Louise shared her Mexican Train board.  Momma took pictures and measurements so Dad could reproduce one.  I have to give Dad credit.  Dad did a marvelous job.  Momma had Dad put a bottom on the box so the tiles can be stored inside.  No more stacking tiles in a metal container.  The top is hinged so the tiles can be dumped out on the table for play.  Sweet set up as it doesn't take up much space to play.  That left plenty of room on the table for the new recipe Momma tried....Lemon Bars.  This recipe was declared a 'keeper'.

And because it was such a nice day, it was a perfect day to grill some pork chops and enjoy a picnic dinner.

I'm glad everyone had a restful day, as tomorrow is travel day once again....if we can negotiate our departure past the big stump and get all the extra pieces of hose that were needed stored away.

More adventures coming up as we head further north.  And no, our route doesn't take us anywhere near Philadelphia and the I-95 road collapse, thankfully.

Catch you in Jim Thorpe....

I'm Chloe
