Final Day in South Carolina

Dad was doing the lively happy dance today when he drove into the station that advertised diesel fuel for $3.18 a gallon but alas, his dance turned into a S  L  O  W waltz when he activated the pump.

'I can burn it up in the tank while driving faster than this is pumping' he complained.  I told him to suck it up...it's cheap...your favorite tune!  He could have paid as high as $4.99 at a station we passed by.

Tomorrow we will be burning that fuel as it is travel day.  Another state is calling us...North Carolina...Mt. Airy.  Hoping for another day of delightful weather for our trip.  

We enjoyed relaxing with G & G, Ted and Colleen on their back patio and sharing stories and experiences

before heading indoors so the two-legged could gather around the dining room table for games.  Mexican Train was the game today.

But I was able to sweet talk Auntie Carol into sharing those dog treats she always carries in her pocket.  I may have to perform for her first...down, sit, shake, stay....but she has REALLY tasty treats.

I just don't understand why SHE doesn't have to perform before she gets to enjoy a piece of that scrumptious Banana Split Cake.

What's that saying I have heard?   "Life isn't fair"
