Quick stop over night

 June 17, 2023

Quinebaug Cove  CG site 442

Brimfield, Ma

Momma, Dad, Uncle Steve and Aunt Carol are all singing the happy dance rather than the dance between the rain drops.  A dry departure and a dry setup although there were a few drops off and on along the route.

Can you guess what that is?  If you said the Welcome to Massachusetts State border sign, you would be correct.

But our drive wasn't all wet.

We arrived at what Momma calls a 'serviceable' campground.  It's amazing how hilly Massachusetts is.  Uncle Steve had to search for a level spot to unhook his jeep.  Yep, a back in site that was JUST long enough and wide enough for the rig with all connections in the rear of the site.  The sewer connection was located not only to the rear of the site, but it was dead center behind us.  Talk about a LONG string of connected sewer hose that traveled along the side of the rig and around to the back.

Momma said there was no way she would pay full price of $70 for this site.  Passport America cut that price in half for us for this quick overnite stop on our way to the Portland, Maine area.

Uncle Steve and Aunt Carol decided to take part in the ice cream sundae sale/social at 6pm but they didn't stay for Bingo.

Tomorrow we will hit the road once again and hope for good travel weather.  I'm liking these cooler 60's and 70's temps that go along with the cloudy skies.

I'm Chloe
