Entering NY

 June 15, 2023

Twin Oaks CG site F2

Schoharie, NY

What a scenic campground...and a pleasant change from our last serviceable campground and the prior 'dump'.  This campground is aesthetically pleasing.

Check out the view from our rear window.
And our front view

It is all so pleasing to the eye, well maintained, and of course the weather today is perfect with 70's and a bit of a breeze.  The only downside is we don't have sewer at our site.  They do have a convenient dump station though.  We did notice that many of the seasonal sites...the ones with nicely constucted decking, did have sewer at their site.

Don't ask about tomorrow as Momma took a peak at the forecast.....rain beginning in the late morning.  And if the forecast is correct, we will be departing in the rain on the following day.

So that means make the most of outdoors today with a walk around the lake.... after coffee and cookie bone break.

I really wish Momma had let me play with the red squirrel, the bunny or the geese that we saw on our walk.  After all, she got to play photo time with the flowers.

They even played corn hole.....and after Dad beat Momma in all 4 games, it was time for Dad to find a new competitor.  Auntie Carol gave him a real challenge.  They both had a final score of 21 but Dad was declared the winner as Aunt Carol had gone over 21 and had to drop back and then build up to 21 again, while Dad scored his 21 without going over.  Interesting match.  I just got to play jug on the sidelines with Momma.

So yes, today was travel day from Pennsylvania to New York.  And yes, Dad blew the entering NY sign picture.  Not to fret.  The welcome center had plenty of photo opportunities outside

As well as inside the welcome center
After checking out our route, they decided to pose for the ''Aunt Carol and Uncle Steve Love New York'' photo

Can you actually believe I could have gone inside the office at this campground?  Momma went inside to talk with the gal while Dad and I waited outside.  The gal followed Momma outside, took one look at me, smiled at me and told me how cute I am, and invited me inside.  She said they tolerate the two-legged and love the four legged.  So you see, this REALLY is a great stop on our summer adventure.

I'm Chloe
