Topeka's air museum

This is a lovely county campground maintained by County Parks and Recreation.  It is part of a county owned area that also has a golf course, fishing docks and off lead dog park all around Lake Shawnee.

The location is convenient to locate affordable fuel at $3.19 a gallon in comparison to the stations near the interstate are selling for $3.43.  There is also a nice grocery store, Dillons, where Momma scored some fresh produce.  

Today the two-legged headed for another air museum.   

It was no where near the size or quality of the museum they visited in Ashland, Nebraska near Lincoln, but then the ticket price was only half as much.

There were two hangers.  One housed refurbished exhibits while the other housed items in line for restoration.  Additional signage would have been nice, but I guess its a work in progress museum.

Tomorrow we will be in Missouri as we begin three one night stops on our way to visit Cousin Missy in Wisconsin before she and her husband depart for a trip to Scotland.  

Dad told me that this is my last night of chicken and rice dinner.  I kind of figured it would be coming to an end as they began to mix my regular dog food with the chicken and rice, but I still have a probiotic sprinkled on my dinner.  I'm performing much better after my visit to the vet.  No more goo - back to tootsie rolls once again. (Was that TMI?)  

The weather man said that the temperatures in this area are going to climb into the 90's by the weekend.  I wonder if it will be that warm in our new locations as we travel toward Wisconsin?  I think it will probably only get into the mid 80's.  Still good ball playing temperature.....paws crossed.
