Marquette arrival

 August 24, 2025

Marquette Tourist CG site 54

Marquette, Michigan

We relocated today 60+ miles further north and our cell signal is so much stronger here that I'll be able to complete my last couple of days of missing blog posts.

We were so fortunate today.  We packed up with an 11 am departure in mind.  As we pulled out of the campground and looked at the road a head, you could tell we would be running right into rain.  Whew! No rain for us during hook up time!  As we headed further north, we drove out of the rain which meant, no set up in wet weather.  Yay!!

We had reserved our sites on line, choosing sites on the full hook up loop.  When we arrived at our site, we discovered that the sites across the road had blacktop to park on while we are in dirt. Pam is across the road on a blacktop pad.  The next discovery was 30 amp service which isn't really any problem as it is quite cool out today....jacket weather....so Momma just wants the fireplace functioning.  As Dad was reminding Pam not to turn on too many things at one time, she was giving him a strange look.  Yep, she has 50 amp service.  Go figure.  And even stranger, not all the blacktop sites on her side of the road have 50 amp service.  She definitely pulled the lucky straw.

Pam was sharing that today is National Waffle Day and that planted the seed that grew into dinner plans for a sausage and waffle dinner with blueberry sauce.  What?  No pictures?  Are your fingers too numb?  I'll admit it is a tad cooler today, but the fireplace has been keeping the rig comfortable all afternoon.  After all, we once again have strong enough wifi to load pictures.

I know it is raining this evening, but maybe, if the rain stops, tomorrow you can capture a few pics.

I'm Chloe
