Glooscap CG site 59
Parrsboro, Nova Scotia
Our last day in New Brunswick was spent down by The Caves Restaurant during low tide. For those who didn’t mind traversing the rocks, you could walk out quite a ways and into the mouth of the cave.
And then there were those who said, “Been there, done that. I’ll watch this time.”
Heading into Nova Scotia we passed some beautiful countryside
Traveling thru communities ready to celebrate Canada Day on July 1st.
and made a stop at
the Welcome Center.
What a nice center with numerous, helpful agents ready to
share knowledge, pamphlets, maps or ring up your purchases from the well-stocked
gift/souvenir area.
I’d like to say our departure was as smooth as we had thought it was, but…….Uncle Steve had a small issue. He mounts lights on the outside walls of his slides that are supposed to be removed BEFORE the slide comes in. While at our rest stop, he noticed that his slide hadn’t pulled all the way in, and upon further inspection, he discovered why. Oops!!
That used to be a working light.Dad nearly had an oops as well, but during the final walk
around check, Momma noticed that he had locked the door, rolled in the stair
handle, but failed to retrieve the doorbell and stow it inside for the
ride. Whew!! Dodged that possible
mishap.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Can you decipher all the words these pictures designate?
This campground was not the first choice but with it being Canada Day weekend, the campgrounds had filled up quickly, so Momma said, ‘It will be what it will be.” We knew this campground offered 30amp electric and water at the site with a dump station for sewer. Then, a week out, we received our welcome/confirmation email with a notice that the well water had not met all the levels to allow the water to be safe for drinking. Okay, so we’ll just carry in our water in our on board tank. Don't forget my jug of water too. It really made Momma uneasy as to what we would find when we arrived.
Momma felt a little relieved by the nice appearance of the campground.
The mind can create some awful scenarios. Thank goodness, this campground doesn’t even come close to those awful thoughts.
As a matter of fact, As it turned out, this was a good choice because the two-legged met some new friends. An Open Range fifth wheel pulled in on the other side of Uncle Steve and Aunt Carol.
Dad’s attention was drawn to fellow Open Range Owners. And, you will never guess where they call home…..Lake County, Florida…The Villages!! So Cindy and Robert were invited to camp with our Golden Triangle Campers group. We may just be seeing them again.
Dinner for the two-legged was at Harbour View Restaurant, right on the water.
Looks like this sea gull was on duty as the sentry.
Momma had been admiring the purple flowers that seemed to grow wild along the roadsides. Now she had the opportunity to get an up close look at them.
The food seafood dinner was so tasty, Momma didn't ge a pic until The plate was empty. Everyone was too full to partake in the
tempting pie offerings with piled high meringue.
