Bras d'Or Lakes CG site 18
Baddeck, NS
Momma says things happen in three's. First Dad suffered the finger injury. Then the Ram's windshield was injured. So the question is....who will be next? Will it be the Open Range RV, Momma or Me? Or will it be a repeat for Dad or the Ram? Only time will tell. Maybe we can count the bite that Momma got on her neck that has swelled up to about golf ball size. Works for me. Three and done!!
But everyone was glad that they got to experience the visit to North Sydney when they went to Sam's Auto Glass.
They departed early to allow them time to check out the ferry port before their appointment repair time . Dad was following the GPS. Just as we were approaching North Sydney, we encountered road construction. Momma, sitting in the backseat spotted a new construction sign with an arrow pointing to the left for the ferry but by the time she saw it, it was too late to turn and the GPS was telling us to take the next exit. At the same time, Uncle Steve was on an important phone call so Momma, trying to keep quiet so Uncle Steve could hear his call, decided to just continue letting the GPS guide us. Well, the final destination was the ferry building, but they were on the wrong side of the fence for loading and REALLY glad not to be towing anything big as they manuevered out of the lot and back to that sign in the construction area. Yep, that's the correct turn to take next Tuesday that will take us to the ferry loading gate. We won't be following the GPS instructions. An ugly situation has been avoided!!
So the guys chatted it up with the men at Sam's Auto Glass while the gals were dropped off to shop at Walmart. It wasn't a Super Walmart. It was the smaller neighborhood sized store, but they still found items to stock up on before heading into Newfoundland.
Dad asked Momma to grab a jug of DEF but.....it wasn't available. No problem. They had seen a ....wait for it....Canadian Tire on their first erroneous trip. Not only did they score DEF, they received a good restaurant recommendation from a local couple.
The Black Spoon offered delicious seafood chowder with a unique presentation.
All the items seemed to share an upgraded presentation.
So now the Ram is sporting a new windshield. The only catch is, they have to make sure they don't slam the doors without having a window open a tad to avoid having the windshield pop out before the glue has time to set up. Now remembering that might just be a challenge for this group of 'old timers'. Oops, don't let them read that statement. But I have noticed that their memory isn't always working. Just saying.....
I'm Chloe
