Today is the day we will have to stop talking about Momma while she is around.  Today is the day she will get her upgraded hearing aids and will hear all we say.....for a change.

Peter, the audiologist, spent 3 1/2 hours with Momma and Dad with the goal of bringing their hearing to the highest level possible with the assistance of hearing aid devices.  He is a true wizard!!

Peter said Dad was a easy peasy as his hearing loss is on the minimal side and he can still use some natural hearing along with the aids to compensate in the ranges where his loss is.  Now Momma....well....her severe loss makes it important to have the latest techology as well as perfect settings.  Most of the time was spent trying different aids to see which aids performed to meet her needs the best.  She has to rely totally on aids as her natural hearing is minimal.  

Uncle Steve and Aunt Carol used the day as a 'catch up' day seeing as the weather was gloomy with a bit of misty rain off and on.  The perfect kind of day for chores.  And you don't really feel like you've missed anything as the weather wasn't bright and sunny, calling to you to be out and about.  Actually, they did venture to the store and got caught in the rain when they exited the shop.  Ooops!!

The day ended in typical fashion with Auntie Carol bringing me my evening treats and staying for a game or two.
