Travel day to Billings

 July 13, 2025

Billings RV Village site 9

Billings, Montana

Today was an easy, lazy travel day.  We headed out around 10 as we only had a two hour jaunt on I-90 east.  Traffic was light and easy even though we never got close to the 80 mph speed limit.  We tow around 67mph.  Pam said it was hard to keep her eyes on the highway with all the gorgeous scenery on both sides of the interstate.

We seemed to be following the railroad tracks and the river.

Lots of irrigation taking place.
Plenty of cattle grazing as well as horses with bales of hay in nearby fields.
When we stopped at the rest area, Momma did a double take on the sign, then turned to me and said, "You aren't leaving the truck!"
At least the parking lot was paved as well as the sidewalks to the building.
We have back-in sites here and Pam backed into her site from the blindside in one smooth pass.  What a pro!!  Our site numbers had changed from the time when we made our reservations and somehow, they separated us but the gal in the office did some shifting and got Pam relocated to the site next to us.

That worked out well for the afternoon project.
Pam was having an issue with her water pump so Dad climbed in her bay to check out the pump.  All is in working order once again.  Mr. Fixit to the rescue.

I'm happy once again to report that we have grass for me to wallow in.  I know this is only a quick two night stop over as we make our way to Medora, North Dakota where we plan to stay for a bit.  But it's nice to have a few luxuries ....such as grass between my toes.

I'm Chloe

  1. If you go to the pitchfork dinner when you get to Medora, the steaks are not cooked to order. We both like ours rare and ours was well done.

  2. Use to go to Medora every summer when we were kids. My cousin volunteers out there every summer.
