Big Sky RV Park - site 7

Miles City, Montana

Momma, you are such a wimp.  The fireplace has been on since we arrived, and now, you not only have on long sleeves, but a throw over you as well.

Everyone was prepared for the predicted rain today that kept the temps in the high 50's just squeaking into the low 60's.  As it turned out, it was only a drizzle this morning as we hitched up.  Dad had put away all the sewer parts last night in preparation for a wet morning so it didn't take long to pick up the jack pads and the electric cord.

Our travel today was damp and gloomy, with a light drizzle and low hanging clouds trying to block the mountain views.

I'm sure the farmers were smiling though with Mother Nature providing the irrigation today.

Upon arrival at this small 25 site park, the sign on the door said closed, pick a site and pay later. There are smaller sized stones everywhere.  So many stones that the tires dug/sank into them.  Dad pulled partway into our site and stopped so Momma could get out and spot the sewer for him and Dad had to use four wheel drive to move forward.

It was a wet set up as the rain had increased to a 'light' rain.  But they have the routine down pat since we have been traveling so much so it didn't take them long to get everything ready for our overnight stay.

Momma and Pam headed out for Vintage and Rustic in downtown Miles City.  What a cute shop with over 100 vendors.  It was a combination of antiques, bakery/cafe, clothing, garden items that took up most of the block.  Some items were quite unique such as this chandelier.

Everything was tastefully displayed to be easily viewed.

Seeing as Momma and Dad are celebrating their 47th wedding anniversary today, everyone went out for a delicious meal....the best meal so far this trip.

The food was served hot, cooked to perfection, seasoned to produce a delightful taste and served with great presentation on the plate.
Flat iron steak with mashed potatoes

tender, cut with a fork, smoked brisket

If you ever get to Miles City, Montana, stop in for a meal that actually lives up to ...and goes beyond...all the good reviews.  It's a meal you'll definitely enjoy.  Dad said he can't remember the last time he actually had blue cheese salad dressing that actually had chunks of blue cheese in it.  All their salad dressings had a homemade, excellent taste.

It was a super meal to celebrate their special day....even in the rain.

I'm Chloe
