Small World

Osen's RV Park site 5

Livingston, Montana

We were roughly 2400 miles from homebase when Pam walked into the office at Redrock RV Park the day before we departed when she heard someone inquire, "What are you doing here?"  Yep, that expression 'It's a small world' rang true again.  A gal she had known in Ocala, Florida through work, before she retired, is work camping with her husband at Redrock.  They came over this morning before we departed for a short visit.  The husband suggested, seeing as we were heading for hwy 87, that we turn right out of the campground rather than left and we would come out on hwy 87 and avoid the washboard, dusty section of road that brought us to the campground.

As it turned out, much of that road was unpaved as it traveled around Henrys Lake but fortunately it had been treated with a chemical to keep the dust at bay and the road, although not smooth, wasn't a washboard.

Another scenic ride today.  Beautiful countryside.

As we traveled today, we were in and out of cell service.  As it would happen, we lost sight of our 'shadow' Pam in a no service section so we weren't able to communicate with her.  We found a wide enough shoulder to pull off and wait for her but finally decided she wasn't coming and located a field entrance we could back into to turn around.  As we started back down the highway, we saw Pam headed our way.  Her tire minder told her she had a flat, so she pulled off the highway to change a tire, only to discover that it was a faulty sender needing a new battery and not a flat.  Whew!!

I'm not certain exactly where the rig rebelled against the less than smooth roads, but it tossed a few items around that we don't normally find relocated.  It keeps things interesting for sure!

Our break took place in Ennis, Montana in a large parking lot for a gas station and grocery store.  As it turned out, Madison Foods had  marvelous produce for sale in a very eye appealing display so Momma replenished and came out the store with a bounce in her step,  swinging her bag of fresh items.  Did you check out their pet aisle Momma?  I'll bet they would have had some great snacks for me if you had wandered to that part of the store.

I'm enjoying laying belly down in lush grass once again at our site.  And the nice man who escorted us to our site told us we could wash our rig...and even our truck here at at our site. I know Dad will have us sparkling once again before we leave here!

I'm Chloe
