Slap-orrhoids

Can anyone tell me what slap-orrhoid is?  Dad told me I'd better be careful or I'd be getting slap-orrhoid...and he made it sound painful.  It all came about this morning when he and Momma were washing and drying the breakfast dishes.  I was getting rather impatient.  I'm not allowed to bark inside so I just whined a little and slapped my butt down on the floor by the door.  That should have gotten his attention.  I was ready to go out and PLAY.  I was looking out the window at all that open grass area between our sites.  It was calling to me.

And when you also take into account that it was a whole 20 degrees warmer than the 47 degrees when I took my morning walk.  Well, it was surely time to get outside.  Dad, is there really such a thing as slap-orrrhoids or are you just trying to distract me from my goal of getting you to hurry at the sink.  It's outdoor play time!

After taking care of chores this morning and of course playtime with me, the two legged headed into nearby Cuba, NY in the afternoon.  Dad visited Carquest and purchased a tube of grease so he can finish his shackles project.  Then they visited Cuba Cheese Store enjoying the samples and purchasing some tasty treats.  Dad's eyes got big when he saw several signs indicating a price of $23.95 a pound for cheese.  

Charlie's was the next stop for an ice cream break.  Aunt Carol would have liked Charlie's as they offered pistachio.

Dad and Pam have been using Open Road to keep the cost of diesel fuel a bit lower than the advertised price which really is helpful, especially now that we are in New York where fuel prices are the highest we have seen, well over $4 a gallon.  Open Road gets the price back into the $3 range.  It needs to be a station that participates in Open Road and you have to fuel using the truck lanes.  Luckily, there is an participating station nearby us. 

But as we all have experienced, things don't always happen without a hitch...especially when dealing with technology. A couple of days ago, Dad had trouble getting the pump to accept his card so he had to go inside for assistance.  The clerk had some issues as well and the bottom line is, we were double charged so.....now we are attempting to find the successful path to resolution.

Cuba has some talented artists that have added several murals to the buildings around the town.

Once again, it was a perfect night for a campfire. 

But the deer didn't join us.  They kept their distance.

The campground owner puts food out for the deer so they visit early mornings and evenings.  If I wasn't tied on a lead, I'd run over and see if they wanted to play.
