Momma and Dad were in Billings, Montana about 14 years ago....well before I was even born...... when a red truck towing a fifth wheel arrived at the campground.  The red truck was attempting to back the fifth wheel into a site, but was struggling....so Momma and Dad, who felt compassion for the struggling couple, walked toward their site and introduced themselves, offering a few suggestions on which way to turn the steering wheel to successfully get situated on the site....and that began a friendship that has continued over the years.  

Jan and Bill have since hung up their fifth wheel keys, in other words, sold their rig, deciding that chapter had closed.  They also sold their home in Arizona and have moved to Ohio right on the Ohio-West Virginia border.  Last year, we camped in their area, but this year the campgrouds were full of workers so....today they meet up in Cadiz, Ohio, splitting the distance, and enjoyed hugs and and a long lunch.

They have many shared memories of camping together over the years in numerous states, sometimes planned and sometimes their paths crossed unexpectedly, such as 2017 when they bumped into each other in Alaska, more than once, as they transversed the state.  It is always a pleasure spending time with them. 

While the two-legged were off visiting friends, I was home bonding with a new 'friend'/toy chicken that Pam surprised me with. 

I guess everyone enjoyed spending time with friends today.
