Plattsburg RV site 51

Plattsburg, New York

The weekend warriors are filling up the sites.

Not only the RV sites, but there is a group of tenters who arrived today as well.

It only got down to 60 last night so they shouldn't get too chilled tonight, although we did enjoy heat from the fireplace in the rig this morning.  They are much younger than us...as in their 20's ... so they can handle all that sleeping on the ground and 'roughing it'.  Momma and Dad said they much prefer 'Glamping'.  It is much easier to bake that bread that they love and fill the fifth wheel with that delightful bakery smell.  Ahhh....fresh bread...warm from the oven.  It's definitely a good day today.

Another arrival today was Momma's sister and brother-in-law who made the two hour drive to visit today.  They like to shop at Sam's Club and it is an easy drive on I-87 so they know the area well.  A visit plus shopping... plus we all enjoyed a meal of that delicious smoked pork tenderloin we puchased while in Ohio.  Everyone said it was yummy but, as usual, I wouldn't know, as there were too many people (watchful eyes) to pull off  a raid.

The weather was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the fresh air while catching up and exchanging thoughts and ideas.

Dad had an issue ....the latest problem to diagnose.  At the last rest break we had...the one on our way to this campgroud... the generator ran just long enough to make a cup of coffee for Dad before it died.  It didn't want to start after that.  Then the refrigerator warning sounded...not cooling on propane.  It led Dad to think there was a propane issue.  Sure enough, the new tank that he had purchased to replace an old one was empty...but we haven't run enough propane items to empty the tank.  And that was when he discovered the crack in the plastic connector for the hose.

A trip to the RV parts store for a replacement and all is well once again.  And to think his first thought was who to call to see what was ailing his generator.  We dodged that service call!!

A trip to Tractor Supply replenished our empty propane tank and was also an eye opener.  We are still in September and fall hasn't even officially begun but.....

Momma couldn't believe her eyes so she snapped a picture.  Yes, those are really Christmas items on display and for sale at Tractor Supply.  What happened to Halloween and Thanksgiving?  It'll be okay Momma.  You can still decorate with fall colors and enjoy October and November just as long as you don't 'decorate' me!

I'm Chloe
