Busy non-tourist adventure day

Hey, can you believe it?  I got to go with Momma and Dad today.  Momma had a follow-up visit with her audiologist and he LOVES dogs.  He said he had even considered becoming a Veterinarian but Momma is so glad he decided on his chosen profession.  He is so knowledgeable and spends time assuring the hearing aids are programmed for the best fit possible for every individual he encounters.  He realizes each person's needs are unique.

I kept hearing Dad muttering about 'I'm so glad I washed the truck'.  You see, it was raining pretty heavily on our excursion.  I think Momma said something about that being a sarcastic statement.

Then Momma took Dad to the store for the replenishing shopping adventure after reentering Nova Scotia.  I think I should have gone inside with him to help treat his 'shock' when the cashier rang up the total.  Maybe I could have distracted him so Momma could just pay without Dad seeing the numbers. Remember Dad, that's Canadian money.  I sounds much lower in US dollars. 

I know Aunt Carol and Uncle Steve had restocked their rig the day before in Sydney.  Uncle Steve said they used one of the BIG carts and filled it to the brim.  Then came the task of settling all those items in the rig.  Not a quick job with so many items.

I was so excited when we arrived back at the campground today.  Aunt Carol and Uncle Steve had settled into their site right next to us on our door side.  I sure hope she remembered to restock her dog treats while she was shopping.  She always has the best smelling pockets when she is around me😛.

Uncle Steve looked a bit different.  His hair wasn't hanging over his ears any longer.  What?  Did you say that trim cost over $30 dollars?  I guess you went for the big city cut.  Remember, that's CAD.  It's not quite so bad in US$$.  Maybe you should have joined Dad for his $10 cut in Grand Falls-Windsor. 

One of the items Momma purchased was a basket of local, fresh strawberries.  It was a strawberry shortcake night during Fast Track game time.  Everyone was happy with full bellies.  My belly was full of dog treats and the two-legged bellies were full of strawberry shortcake topped with a mound of freshly whipped cream.

I'm glad no one laughted at me with my horse taped wrapped leg.

I have this itchy, annoying spot on my leg that I have licked so much, all my hair has disappeared and I have a red, raw area. Momma thought I might have gotten bitten like she did with those nippers.  I can't seem to help myself.  I'm a lotion addict and I lick off anything Momma or Dad put on that area.  Momma said I could either wear this wrap or I could become a cone head.  Who wants to wear a big, clumsy cone on their head?  I still dream about wearing a cone after my spaying surgery when I was a pup.  It was a tramatic experience!!  I sure hope I heal quickly!
