Pueblo Cultural Center

Enchanted Trails RV - site A11

Albuquerque, NM

The morning started out as predicted...project time.   All hands on deck for this project.

Out with the old converter.

And then making the new one feel 'homey' in it's designated spot.
Sometimes you have to lay down in order to get the job done.  It's a good thing Dad isn't claustrophobic and can squeeze into tight places.
It took the sawzall to add the finishing touches for a perfect fit.
Job well done Dad!!

Then it was off to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center.  A nicely laid out, informative museum shared the Pueblo culture.

Beautiful murals were hung everywhere.

Pottery made from clay became  water vessels.  Animal hides were used for clothing as well as fibers.  Also moccasins and drums.  And dance was a their way of praying for crops, good hunting and health.

The buffalo dance, a winter dance,  took place in the courtyard with elaborate, traditional costumes.

But Momma said the best part of the visit was the fry bread taco dinner she ordered in the restaurant.

Next to the campground is a Camping World....but the store was  small with lightly stocked inventory.  The smallest we have seen. Dad did score a nice item from the clearance rack though so the visit wasn't a total bust.

It was interesting to note that there are two additional RV dealerships close to Camping World on the same road (one being a La Mesa RV dealer)  and a fourth within a half a mile across the highway.  I wonder if all the competition keeps the mark up on campers low?

Pam captured some beautiful pictures at sunset last night.

Typical New Mexico sunset.....
