Horseshoe Bend

 June 18, 2025

Antelope Point Marina and RV site 13

Page, Arizona

We have been saturated with buttes and mesas in our current area.  Even the sign for the city acknowledges the fact that they are common in this area.

The views out our windows and all around the campground are common scenes that I'm sure the locals take for granted, but the tourists capture in memorable photos.

Sunset adds interesting color

Today, Pam and Momma headed just outside of Page to Horseshoe Bend, another of Mother Nature's creations.  It took the Colorado River numerous years to wear the sandstone away, leaving an interesting landmark.

The boats in the water add perspective to the enormous size of nature's creation.

Horseshoe Bend lookout is very popular with the tourists.
Do you recognize this tourist?

It is a short hike (seven tenths of a mile) on a wandering, curved path to the lookout area.

And with the unusual heat climbing over 100 degrees, the gals decided to head out in the early morning 80's, before the thermometer reached it's highest point.

There is no shade on the path.

Dad stayed with me in the shade of the rig after he performed an additional repair to one of the drawers.

These rough roads aren't being very kind to the fifth wheel and keep Dad busy with projects.

I'm Chloe
