Antelope Point Marina and RV Park site 13
Page, Arizona
When we were at the Grand Canyon, the phones were blowing up with heat advisory messages. Momma looked and Dad. Dad looked at Momma. Then they both looked at me and shrugged. It got up to 88 degrees with a breeze after a low of 49 with an extra quilt on the bed. It didn't feel hot at all. Not even the first bead of perspiration.
Right now the phones are quiet and the AC hasn't shut off since we arrived yesterday. I really think 102 is a tad too warm in the afternoon. At least the 80's in the morning allow for some rest from the heat. I wonder if that heat advisory was just a warning of what was in store for us at the next location? It is definitely HOT....and our site is right out in the open just soaking up all that heat from the sun.Even the breeze is too hot to be comfortable and too rowdy to put out the awning for some shade.
As you can see, this campground is well groomed and maintained. The green is turf...not real grass.
But the plants are real.
But the plants are real.
The views all around us are enchanting.
I wish I could say the same about the heat. It is a tad too much for our AC to keep up with, even with the shades pulled down on the windows. Momma did you say we are here for a couple more days? I think I'm going to be pleased with the cooler temperatures when we arrive in Bryce Cannon on Thursday.
I'm Chloe
