Mountain Valley RV Resort
Heber City, Utah
This park has a nice, well manicured, well maintained appearance to it It wasn't a dream. I'm back in lush grass😍
but there is a flaw. We are located on a pull thru site. There are two rows of pull thru that share a common road. One row pulls in from south to north and the other from north to south with a shared road at the nose the rigs. The sites are slanted a tad west for ease of pulling in.
This road dead ends into grass at the end |
The flaw occurs when you drop your fiver, parking in front of your rig. Leaving the site isn't any issue at all, but the return is a challenge as there is no entrance to the common road on the east side so when you return, you can easily drive into your slanting site but backing in is a real challenge unless the site across from you is empty, giving you room to maneuver. What was the designer thinking? Class A with the towed vehicle parked to the rear of the site? And then there is the curbing at the entrance to the site that jostles everyone in the vehicle.
Looks great but is uncomfortable to drive on/over.
On the property next to the campground, construction is taking place on what appear to be multi-housing buildings. The workers have been busy at work and we could hear the rhythmic banging while having breakfast. Dad said, with a straight face, "Heat that? Now that's scary. They are installing windows today."
This area is well populated with restaurants and services. Yes, there is even a Walmart.
On the outskirts of town, there is a dairy farm that offers produce as well was artesian cheeses and ice cream.

The City Park is well used. It has a huge stage areaThese chairs are set up facing the stage
as well as a playground for kids. Wednesday evening from 5-9 they had a gathering of stage performers (Ouch, that sounds terrible. I hope the quality of the following bands improve as the evening progresses.) as well as arts and crafts vendors, food trucks and tents and local businesses.
The Chamber of Commerce was handing out free ice cream and all the local businesses set up next to them offered free toppings to turn your plain ice cream into a sundae. Clever idea to get the public to stop by all the booths.
