Water day

 August 5, 2024

Valley River RV Resort site 47

Marble, NC

Today was water day....all kinds of water activities that is.  Momma had the washer/dryer humming washing the sheets, which takes two loads in the tiny unit tucked away in a closet in the bedroom,  plus a couple of loads of clothes.

I got my clothes....well, fur....washed today, but NOT in the washer/dryer.  They have a pet wash room here.

And the way the shallow tub is designed at waist high for the comfort of the washer, all I had to do was shake a couple of times and everyone had a bath!!  More water fun for sure😁

And then there were all the dishes that needed soapy dish water after Momma made two loaves of wheat bread with that special Robin Hood wheat flour that she loves ...only available in Canada.

But the sad water story happened in the bedroom.  Dad said, "the jinx is back" but Momma said it wasn't a full blown jinx situation because the water dripping from the AC unit didn't drip from the AC unit corner that is over the bed.  It is dripping from the corner that is over the scatter rug on the floor with the rubber backing.  Whew!!  That water leak had the potential of being a true disaster!!

So as the day drew to a close, everyone gathered outside as the temperature became quite comfortable for outdoor sitting as the sun was going down.

Even Bella and I joined the gathering.

It really amazes me how they can find so much to talk about.  Of course these socks were a topic that lasted quite a while

Yes, that's a male leg and foot.

And the owner of those socks proceeded to tell everyone the sockety story of the Indian tribes depicted in those colorful socks.  The top part from a Hawaiian tribe while the lower portion was from the North American spotted leapard tribe ....or some such nonsense.
But the true sockety story that was told involved a trip to the endodontist.  With feet extended while reclining in the dental chair, the doctor couldn't help but notice the unusual, bright socks tucked in the shoes.  The goal was to make sure the doctor was in a good frame of mind while working on the sock owner's mouth. And it worked.  The doctor now looks forward to the owner's appointments.
Who is this sockety person?
Yep, those socks belong to Steve.
His wife was wearing her vegan socks, but she had to remove the sneaker that was hiding all the veggies.
I have to say, only two people had dog treats tucked in their pockets.  Come on gang.  You ALL need to get your pockets loaded before arriving.  It would make my evening much more enjoyable for sure if I could collect goodies from each and everyone.

I'm Chloe
