The chill arrived

 August 20, 2024

Shipshewana South Campground site 54

Shipshewana, Indiana

OMG!!  My goodness my paws are cold.  Does that really say 57 degrees?  I'm glad you turned on the fireplace, Dad.  And I'm sure Momma is glad you turned on the heatpump as well to fill the camper with warmer air as it is in the 60's inside.  Do we mark that on the calendar....August 20 and heater turned on?  Is this considered an early fall or just a fluke in the weather pattern?

Yesterday our neighbors on our doorside took their rig out to Lambright Comfort Chairs to pick up their new furniture they had ordered.  The rig behind us took their rig to the factory service center as did the rig in front of us.  Two out of three returned.  The owners with the three large dogs and a wife who must work on the road (as she had two monitors and a starlink satelite set up on the picnic table in front of her) didn't have a rig by night fall.  Just a tad too cold to sleep on the ground!!  I'm sure they secured lodging somewhere.  Maybe in one of the cabins?

Well, today is Tuesday which means one of the two flea market days in Shipshewana.  The gang decided to fortify themselves with a haystack breakfast.

I asked Momma how she could eat a stack of hay but she just laughed and told me I probably would have loved it as it is a pile/stack of potatoes, eggs, sausage and ham smothered in gravy.

The flea market turned out to be enjoyable as it wasn't very crowded at all.

Dad located a bungie display

He decided he needed to add to his collection when he spied the white ones.

Pam had fun looking at all the offerings, including the fancy hats

But none of the hats made it into her shopping bag.

Ben's pretzels were on site

But they weren't serving any in the morning as they had an issue with the dough rising and got off to a very late start.  They were  just beginning to shape the dough.

Dad was tickled to locate an RV Supplus booth at the market.

Now I just can't understand why there wasn't a thing in those shopping bags for ME.
I checked it out for myself.  I mean I just couldn't believe my ears when she said nothing for me.

The good thing for me was I got to wait in the comfort of the 5er while everyone was touring the flea market.  These poor guys just had to stand around....waiting....

And waiting....

Can you  believe it?  After visiting all those flea market booths, they decided to hit a few shops as well before finally making their way back to me so we could play ball.

The Tuesday night special at Hopper's Pike Street Grill

was delicious fried chicken served with two sides. Dad liked his mash potatoes while Momma enjoyed her sweet potato fries.  I think they should have brought home this guy for me.
Maybe he could be my new playmate??

I'm Chloe
