Grandma's RV Camping site 2
Shepherdsville, Ky
Momma and Dad walked down to the flea market at the end of the road.
those are donkeys in the field |
The flea market is open Saturdays and Sundays and by the looks of the cars going in and out, it is well attended. The mystery is why is it so well attended. Maybe all those cars belonged to the vendors??
If this had been advertised as a trash or treasure sale, the title trash would definitely win out....according to Momma and Dad. Not the offerings or quality they are accustomed to. Needless to say, they didn't score any treasures.
Today was chore day. The truck now shines once again and the inside got vacuumed as well. The clothes basket is empty. And the fiver smells like fresh baked bread.
Our neighbors rolled in last night before dark. They had just traveled a 6 hour day on the road with plans of heading out the following day and making it to Goshen, Indiana for the Forest River Owners Group (FROG) Rally. They departed by 6 am this morning for their final leg. Dad said they must still be working/not retired to schedule that many miles in 2 days of travel. Those days of heavy travel are long behind us!! We will be staying at two more campgrounds before we make it to that area. Definitely a much more relaxed travel schedule.
Dad got involved in a rescue project tonight. I'm not quite sure how he was made aware of the distress. It might have been the scream from the wife when she turned on the shower water. A foul smelling, disgusting gray water streamed out the shower head. What a shock! It was enough to turn her stomach upside down.
The camper is a rental unit and they had the expectation that it would be all hooked up and ready for them when they arrived at the campground. Well, as it turned out, the fresh water hose was never hooked up by the guy who delivered and set up the camper. The onboard water tank that was supplying the water for her shower was.....dark, icky and stinky. So Dad assisted the husband in hooking up the fresh water hose, supplying a new gasket to stop the leak, and flushing the hot water. The couple are staying here in the rental while they are working at the Kentucky Fair.
I'm still feeling rather sad today because there is no outdoor ball playing here. Boring.... and I didn't even get a taste of that great smelling bread before it got wrapped up and stored away. Oh well, atleast I got to play inside ball!
I'm Chloe
