Grill time at CCPP

 August 3. 2024

Valley River RV Resort site 47

Marble, NC

I think we did it!!  It appears we have turned a corner and left the 'jinx' behind....if today is any indication.

This morning Pam, Momma and Dad headed back into Blairsville to the Union County Farmer's Market.  It was definitely well attended as the booths were full of vendors and the parking lot was full of cars from shoppers.

Momma purchased some great finds that Dad had the 'honor' of carrying so she could continue to shop hands free.  Not only was there a ton of fresh from the garden produce, but some nice craft items as well as baked goods.

And such variety!!

I love Momma's vase with the wooden flowers

...and the bonus...no need to water.  There were fresh cut flowers available to be purchased, but they won't last like this arrangement Momma bought.  Even the produce Momma bought will be consumed long before this arrange even thinks about looking shabby.

Dad had a couple of prescriptions ready for pick up at CVS and he also need razor blades so that was the next stop of the day.  They found the package of blades and headed to the pharmacy counter where Sheri was waiting to assist them.  She rang up all the items but for some reason the blades dropped off the list.  Sheri apologize, looked at the pill receipt and said, 'There are a couple of coupons here on this receipt.  One for 35% off and another for $2 off.  Would you like to use them?"  With a big smile, the response was YES!  Sheri said, "I glad that worked out so well.  You saved $17."  Yes, I think we have buried the jinx and we are enjoying some positive energy.

The gang had been invited to Camp Chicken Pot Pie (Tim and Julie's property) for a lunch gathering.

Soon, CCPP will have a new look, when the storage building has been completed.

Everyone brought their own meat to grill and a side to share.

With the temperature in the low 80's, it was a perfect day for a picnic lunch with friends sharing lots of laughs as well as good food.  Too bad I wasn't invited to join all the fun, but I took my guard dog job seriously....after a good nap.

I'm Chloe
