A Wonderful Wednesday

Shipshewana South Campground site 54

Shipshewana, Indiana

What a pleasant surprise!  A few years ago, while attending a rally held at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds, Momma was chatting with a local vendor who shared info about Crystal Springs Creamer in nearby Osceola.

Today's mission was to secure some of that delicious yogurt that had made an impression.  Well, when they arrived, they were pleasantly surprised to find a remodeled store now offering.......homemade ice cream.  Wonderfully delicious, creamy, multi-flavored, high scoring ice cream choices to select from.  The store still sells yogurt, milk - including flavored milk,

cheese curds, meats, produce and baked goods.  Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention the beautiful flower bouquets similar to the flowers by the building door.
I guess it's a good thing our campground isn't too close to the store.  I could definitely see an overdose of ice cream.

Speaking of a possible overdose, Dad's Ram headed for breakfast at Rise n Roll this morning.

The donuts were leaving the shelves rapidly, but there were still plenty that had been baked.
Friends Bruce and Kathy had shared the name and location of an RV surplus place so Dad and Pam headed to Michigan to check it out while Momma visited a hair salon.

They hit a few shops on the way back to me for my game of ball.
This clever tow truck was in the parking lot at Das Dutchman Essenhaus.  The quilt shop had expanded and moved from this building to a story shop.

The day ended with a great burger at Backroads Tavern in Wolcottville topped with pepperjack cheese, bacon, peanut butter and blackberry jam.

I just wish one of these times I would be treated to the take home leftovers.

I'm Chloe
