A day in Grabill

Fort Wayne, Indiana

I was NOT happy this morning.  I kept waiting for the loud bangs to accompany the heavy rain this morning, but I guess I was over anxious as no thunder rolled.  I was so worried, I couldn't even eat my cookie bones with Dad's morning cup of coffee.  Thank goodness by 9:30 the rain quit and Dad had saved my morning treat.

Today was the day they headed to Grabill and The Country Shoppes and Antiques.  Room after room of treasures for sale.  It's a good thing they painted arrows on the floor to indicate which way to go to locate the exit in the building's maze of rooms which covered two floors.

Can you tell Dad was super enthused with the home decor offerings?  He said he had seen enough after the first 15 minutes but it took 4 times as long for Pam and Momma to take it all in.

Everyone was pleasantly surprised to see the facelift the outside of the building had received since their last visit.

Momma's day was made with the free popcorn available....and I wasn't there to share it with her.  I think I love popcorn as much as she does!

While in Grabill, they made a stop at the Country Market to stock up on Jake and Amos Pickled Sweet Fire Tiny Beets among some other items at great prices.

They made a decent haul at both stops by the looks of the packages they hauled into the rig.

I guess they are getting wise to my efforts of stealth mode stolen meat.  I didn't even get a chance to even smell that left over smoked pork chop that had come off the grill tonight.  Foiled my plans for a great dinner snack!!  But I know I'll get to play ball after dinner rather than be in the penalty corner.

I'm Chloe
