Okay Dad, I'm all loaded up and ready to stretch out in the back seat for our travel day.  Did you say we we will be 3 states today? 

Alabama....... 

Looks like there is a bit of a bottleneck at the registration gate at the State Park

Wow Dad, that is at least a 6 inch drop where previous campers have cut the turn too short to our site.  It's a good thing you are a champion at backing up and keeping us on the blacktop!

It really doesn't appear to me that they have maintained this site very well.  Dirty diapers and garbage in our fire ring.

A post tossed under the tree rather than maintaining its proper location in the ground, ready to hang the trash bag on.

Dad has us parked as far over as we can get and still stay on the blacktop, but our entrance is still going to be a challenge with the grass dropping off so sharply next to the blacktop on our door side.

And check out the deep rut located right where we need to stand to reach into our bay door on the other side.

Maybe they need to hire more employees/rangers so they can keep up with the needed maintenance and repairs.  

It looks like our ham operator, Rick is all set up and making contacts.

 Dad, can we go visit Aunt Carol?  I wonder if her site is in the same shape as ours.  

She has a nice patio area even if her picnic table is wobbly.  More signs of poor upkeep here.  That's so sad.  I remember you saying how great this park was the last time you were here.  Too bad they have let things go.
