Making more memories with good friends

 June 20-21, 2021

River's Edge Mountain RV, Murphy, NC

Our time here in Murphy, NC is drawing to a close.  Tuesday morning we depart for Kentucky so we had to get in all of our last minute, be sure to do, activities with Tim and Julie before we leave their area (Blairsville, GA) just a few minutes away.

Corn hole games....what no picture???

Dinner by the river at our campground.

Everyone brought their own meat to grill.  And...once again...Dad's grill failed to complete the task.  He had to zip over to the Hall's and finish the meat over the heat of their charcoal.  Now I have to tell you, the 'failure to cook' experience on Dad's grill will NEVER be experienced by Dad again.  He and the grill have parted ways and we have an empty spot in our bay.

Momma had picked up some of the stuffed marshmallows everyone was talking about.

The idea is to toast up the marshmallows stuffed with chocolate.

They even make a chocolate stuffed with chocolate marshmallow.

Surround that toasted marshmallow with graham crackers and....you have instant smores.

Oooey, gooey,

sticky, delightful,

messy, yummy

Hey Aunt Carol, who's your buddy? Who's your pal?  You forgot to share.  What do you mean I'd have a sticky coat of fur?

The day wrapped up with another rowdy game of  Dirty Uno.  I have to admit, after the last experience when Julie was the "Queen of Jokers", no one wanted to sit beside her.  I sat at her feet.  I thought they were giving her a complex.
Never fear, Uncle Steve took over the roll tonight...."King of Jokers".  Draw 5 more cards Tim!!  and another 5!! and yes, another 5...all in the same round.  What a fist full of cards!

The evening ended with Julie's delicious Pineapple Upside Down Cake.

We have been blessed by the weather angel who has looked out for us.  Yes, we have had rain, but only at times when it didn't interfer with any of our activities.  In other words, we received heavy rains a couple of nights.  I haven't had to make my potty trip in the rain though.  It slacks off long enough for that 'last call'.

We have had loads of fun and made some great memories over the last two weeks in Murphy, NC but it is time for new adventures.  Tomorrow will be just an overnight stop in Corbin, KY on our way to Bardstown, KY.

On the road again....

I'm Chloe
