Celebration....bagless

 June 12, 2021

River's Edge Mountain RV, Murphy, NC

When they said they were going to the Farmer's Market, I smiled because sometimes I am even lucky enough to get some goodies purchased just for me.....if there are any dog lover vendors who make doggie treats.  This is the same market they visited on Tuesday where they purhcased some fresh veggies but Momma said that the vendor count had grown by 300 percent.  Rather than just a handful of vendors, there were enough vendors to fill both sides of the aisle under all three roof topped, open buildings.

It was all laid out nicely with a clean cement floor and a nice covered roof top.
Then I got just a tad nervous.  They went to a FLEA Market.  Fleas....really?  I told them I have never had fleas and from what I have heard, I don't ever want them. So they had better not bring any home!

As it turned out, they didn't bring ANYTHING home from Decker's Flea Market.  The buildings were closed in, but they had gravel floors and loads of dust and dirt covering all the flea market items.  'Someone's trash hoping to become someone's treasure'.

Dad was celebrating his liberated state.  It was the first day in 6 weeks that he hasn't been tethered to his antibiotic pump.  He emptied the last med bag on Friday.

Now he has 6 weeks of capsules just to make sure the infection is killed.

The two-legged have been falling into a routine of a trip in the evening to Sweet Tooth for ice cream, but last night they decided to try a new, recently opened location named Mimo's.  It is a small shop located inside a tiny mall type building.  There were 3 gals hustling behind the counter and I guess business must have been good as they were out of several flavors.  They create some interesting looking treats - milkshakes with toasted marshmallow and cookie towers or cotton candy.

Most of our gang enjoyed their ice cream in a freshly made waffle cone or dish, but Steve H went for the shake.  Have you ever seen such a large diametered straw?
I wonder if I would like ice cream?  The two-legged sure seem to.

I'm Chloe
