River's Edge Mountain RV, Murphy, NC

Thank goodness Dad seems to be on my side.  Now Momma, she's just plain MAD....FURIOUS even if I'm reading all the banging on the counter and raising of her voice correctly.  It was all just a simple misunderstanding.  I really thought Momma said she needed a taste tester.  Well, I suppose I was wishing so hard that she would say that, that I really thought I had heard it.  

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!  Dad said he was sure his baby (that would be me) wouldn't do something like that on purpose.  I think Dad gets me!  I wonder how long Momma will stay mad?  Do you think it would help if I told her that I'm sorry.....sorry I didn't get to eat the WHOLE muffin?

I have been a great watch dog staying in the rig while everyone headed off to Helen, Georgia where they toured the Hardman Farm Historical Site.  It's actually located in Sautee Nacoochee just outside of Helen.  

The tour guide was outstanding.  Great info with a bit of humor delivered in a strong voice with clear diction .... so easy to hear and understand.  The house was in original state with plaster walls and beautiful, ornate molding.

That molding was on a hinge that allowed for cleaning.  When you have money......

This 1870's built house even had hot and cold running water in the bedrooms.  The water, which came from one of the two cisterns, ran through the wood stove in the kitchen and was piped to the vanity.  Do you think it was as hot as we are accustomed to?

Dad said he thought Emma had a packing issue.  When she traveled, this wardrobe was her 'suitcase'.

It comes apart into 5 pieces for ease of travel. 

After a delightful tour of the dairy farm, they took the recommendation of the docent and ate a delicious lunch at Cowboys and Angels in Helen.

After lunch, Momma and Dad decided it was time to head back to me while the others stayed to shop a bit.  The hour drive back on Richard Russell Scenic Highway was as curvy as on the way over, twisting and turning and keeping the driver alert.  There were many motorcycles enjoying leaning into the curves.  It was great weather for a motorcycle ride but Dad said he was enjoying his airconditioned cab of the RAM.
