Let's play ball

Today was MY day to play. While sitting under the awning, enjoying the lovely day, I began with one willing ball tosser and just moved on to the next willing ball tosser until I made the rounds.....and then I began again.

I did get to take a short nap while the two legged made a Walmart run into Murphy, but then it was time for another round of ball tossing while the two legged chatted and snacked.  

Uncle Steve provided the afternoon entertainment as he was determined to get his awning valance that had blown up on top of his awning to lay back down again....without taking down the attached screen and pulling the awning in.  He began with a broom but quickly realized he needed something longer.  That's when he grabbed his telescoping pole.  But he need something wider on the end than just the pole.

 As I said, it was the entertainment of the afternoon.  It took sheer determination and a long stretch, but....

he was able to successfully work that folded flap off the top of the awning as he worked his way from one end to the other.

Now the valance is flapping in the breeze once again.  Success👏😁

Everyone brought their plate of food so they could dine together under the awning.  It wasn't long before dinner was over and the cards were brought out for a game of Hand and Foot.  

Another enjoyable day spent with friends with lots of fresh mountain air.
