Last rally day for us

 March 15, 2025

Georgia National Fairgrounds

Lot A Row 11-1

I could tell for sure something was up today.  This morning, Momma and Dad not only took care of the typical morning chores, but they began to make the rig smaller by pulling in two of the three slides before they headed out the door.  When I gave Momma that questioning look, she told me we were getting ahead of the storm and heading east to Brunswick this afternoon.  But first they had some things they wanted to do and see.....and off they went.

They began at the vendor exhibits where they actually could speak with vendors as the crowd was minimal.  They ended the morning by attending the Sky Med luncheon/presentation.

Lunch was served in individual boxes that held a turkey sub, pickle, lettuce, tomato, chips and a cookie with a bottle of water.
Not only did they receive lunch, but they scored some extra months on their Sky Med account.  Sky Med, which is a medical transport program that will not only get Momma and Dad to needed medical treatment and home as well as get the rig and me home as well, decided to do something special for Military Veterans by adding extra months of coverage to their account.  It was something they added right after covid, and the agent said he would gladly add the extra months to our account seeing as Dad is a Navy Veteran.  Sweet!!

When Momma and Dad returned to me, it didn't take long to pull in the third slide, hook up the truck and get heading down the road, joining the mass of others who had already left the fairgrounds.  I wonder if the test of the tornado horn blasting had any influence on early departures?  The storm that is moving in from the west not only has wind and rain, but destructive hail and possible tornadoes as well.  Hopefully it will lose some of it's wallop before it finally reaches Perry on Sunday, but we aren't sticking around to see.

We are settled into a buddy site at Coastal Georgia RV Resort...all paved...with one rig headed in each direction sharing a common area in between. Our shadow, Aunt Pam, who follows the rear of our rig has now become out 'buddy'.

There is plenty of space for us to enjoy.  Well laid out!  And there is an additional water supply just for washing your vehicles at your site.  If we weren't expecting the rain to wash off the pollen, we would probably make use of it.

All five rigs who attended the rally in Perry are here and set up.  I guess no one really enjoys packing up, driving and setting up in the rain.

I don't mind the rain....as long as I get to chase after my ball.  But if there is thunder....well, that's a completely different story.....shudder.

I'm Chloe
