Travel Day from Perry to Thomasville, GA
Sugar Mill Campground site 20
I had no idea it could get this chilly...alright...down right COLD in Georgia in March with spring just around the corner. But I stayed toasty warm sliding from the warm fifth wheel to the warm back seat of the Ram while Momma and Dad hitched us up.
Momma almost didn't make it. You see, she was in her recliner with the leg rest up catching up on the latest e-mail when they shut down the generators this morning that were giving us power all week. I guess it was our cue to depart, except Momma was in a power chair and the leg rest was in the up position with no power to lower it. Oooops!! Stuck in the recliner. But Dad started our on board generator giving us power once again. The leg rest was lowered, Momma hopped out of the chair and everyone got to work stowing away everything in preparation for travel.
With so many rigs, (1,945 was the total count, but a few had departed the day before) hitting the highway, it was decided to take the secondary road of hwy 41 south rather than I-75. Our short little caravan of 3 found the Sunday roads pleasantly free from traffic letting us cruise stress free, enjoying the Georgia countryside as we traveled from Perry toward Thomasville.
When we arrived, Auntie Carol had her pockets full of goodies for me. She's the best. All my dog friends KNOW who Auntie Carol is. She't the lady with the dog treats in her pockets. She always smells so good!!
It had warmed up enough by afternoon to sit outside with our friends and enjoy catching up.
There are 8 rigs here today with 3 more rigs joining us tomorrow.
I wish more of this group would load up their pockets with dog treats to share with me!!
I'm Chloe
