Rally days

 March 16, 2023

FMCA Rally, Perry, GA

There are many choices for parking at the rally.  You can park in the lot for use of your generator, the quiet no generator lot or with electric hook up for 30amp or 50amp and the pricing varies for each. Dad said I was worth paying the extra for electric.  He wanted to be sure I stayed cool during the day so he purchased power to run our AC units.

NOW the reality has been made clear.  He just wanted to be able to turn on the fireplace and run the heat pump so HE could stay warm.  You see, the first night was a shocker dipping into the 30's.  I heard many people comment that they were sure glad they decided to toss that heavy, warm jacket in their rig.

Tim and Julie put on their warm jackets and hopped on their bicycles only to discover that was a poor choice to make.  Without gloves and a warm hat, it was a chilling ride.  Brrr.  Now Momma and Dad, on the other hand, rode in the luxury coach bus that was shuttling attendees along with numerous golf carts.

The following night also dipped into the 30's but the daytime turned out to be quite pleasant. Now me, I'm always prepared with my fur coat!!

Momma went to the ladies luncheon with her girlfriends.

The room was full and the food plentiful beginning with a salad followed by a plate of pork, wild rice and delicious brussel sprouts.  And being in Georgia, it was only fitting to have peach cobbler for dessert.  The luncheon entertainment was not near as enjoyable as the last rally's.  Momma said there was a lady wearing a sash, but she really couldn't see well enough to see what the sash said and she couldn't hear what they had said about the sash.  She also couldn't make out what the gal was rambling on about while everyone ate.  Later, she asked Julie what the topic of the speech was, and she said she really couldn't make out what she was saying either.  Oh well.  I guess Momma didn't miss much with her poor hearing.

But Momma did hear her name called for one of the give away gifts, and so did Julie.  Two winners from our group of four.

The seminar presentation rooms are set up well with good visuals and microphones.

But Momma said the most fun was the Murbles Tournament.  I think that might be because she came in second place and was presented a medal.

The yellow shirt couple were husband and wife.  Momma beat out the wife, but the husband beat Momma out and took first place.

Enjoying good times in Georgia!!

I'm Chloe
