Demopolis, Al
It seems that someone always has an idea for some sort of activity. Sometimes I'm lucky.....when it's an idea that involves me chasing my ball.
Sometimes it involves the girls piling into a vehicle and heading into town for some shopping and lunch at the Bristo
or some couples heading off to enjoy some local history while touring the Gaineswood Museum.
And ending up at the Bristo for lunch as well.
And even though the food was delicious and plentiful at lunch, it didn't seem to affect anyone's appetite for the evening meal of loaded baked potatoes. It took 3 crockpots to bake the potatoes for the gang and a table full of toppings to load up those potatoes. No, I'm sorry to say, I didn't even get a smell much less a taste. All I got to experience was a view of these tasty loaded potatoes.
Now I'm hoping you'll really feel sorry for me when I share with you what happened next. As if it wasn't bad enough that I missed out on loaded potatoes, they didn't share Jan's famous dutch oven peach cobbler with me....and I've heard it's to 'die for'!!
Not even Sue was invited to stay for the meal. Her Dad didn't let her sit on her lap any longer when dinner time rolled around.I have to jump up to get into my Dad's lap while Sue just leans back and parks her rear end.
I understand there was even a spoonful of ice cream topping left over. Maybe Bella got to enjoy a lick of that??
The evening ended with Momma bouncing up the steps to our rig singing, "I was a winner!" It seems she won the final round of Nickel, Nickel after Jan won the first and Tony the second round.I wonder if she'll spend all those nickels she won on something for me.....her special little girl? Maybe a brand new ball??
I'm Chloe
