Johnny Appleseed CG, Fort Wayne, IN
Well, it finally happened. As we approached Fort Wayne, the sky kept getting darker and darker. It looked like the sky would soon just open up and pour down a drenching rain. Yep, it's the first time we have had to set up in the rain since we departed from home. At least we didn't have to drive in it!
I didn't mind at all because I always wait quietly in the truck until everything is set up. It was only a short hop, skip and a jump from the truck to get under the awning and climb the steps into the rig. Now for Momma and Dad, that was a whole different story....especially seeing as the rain jackets were packed away. But the BIG umbrella was accessible which greatly helped.
We have been traveling with two other rigs, but the Hall's went home today while we headed further north with the Griffin's. I just lost two playmates, but they will catch up with us again in August.
This campground has a nice dog park within walking distance but needless to say, I didn't get to visit today in the rain. "Don't sit down Dad. Let's play!" I really wouldn't have minded getting wet but the two legged frowned and said, "NO". Now how disappointing is that?
After that 4 hour drive, which is longer than normal for us....okay, so we did take a nice lunch break midway at a rest stop with a nice picnic table....but I was ready to romp a bit. I guess it'll be inside romping for me today. Want to toss my ball for me?I'm Chloe
Susie says hello & we are traveling today 7/1. Have fun & I’m sure Aunt Carol will furnish treats.🇺🇸🐾
