A couple of one night stays

Twin Oaks RV Resort site 3

Elko, GA

What a WET morning!  Yesterday we followed Tim and Julie over the mountain from Blairsville, Georgia to Madison, Georgia.  Tim bravely led the way around the twists and turns.  Dad said he had never seen so many police in such a concentrated area.  He figured they we waiting for all the motorcyclists who love to zip around the curves way over the speed limit.  We saw several two wheelers on the road.

After a short break in Madison, Tim and Julie journeyed on to Ashburn while we plus Pam called it a day and set up at Madison RV Park for the night.  Momma's back doesn't do well on long trips, not being able to get up and move around.  Plus, it is tiring to drive too  many miles a day and we do enjoy a relaxed pace.

This morning the two-legged waited for a lull in the rainfall to zip out to the Ram and head for Farmview Market located about half a mile up the road.  The goal was to enjoy a country breakfast at their cafe.  Dad decide the grits bowl would be the perfect way to begin the rainy day.
Pam had trouble deciding between biscuits covered with sausage gravy and French Toast but she finally made her decision
Momma opted for the biscuit sausage cheese sandwich.

The market sells freshly ground peanut butter, which is tasty, but their peanut butter ground from honey roasted peanuts is definitely the favorite of this group!

When they returned to me, they decided to wait for another lull in the weather before hitching up.  They had another short trip planned for the day so there was plenty of time for waiting for perfect timing.
Today's trip would be to Twin Oaks Resort in Elko, Georgia with plans to visit M & T Meat Market in the morning as they are closed on Mondays.

It might have been a wet morning, traveling on soggy roads, but luckily for us, the rain had stopped by the time we reached our destination.

I'm Chloe
