On again, off again

 August  7. 2021

Washington County Fairgrounds, Marietta, Ohio

The power is on....the power is off...the power is on....the power is off.  It seems our protection gismo for our electric supply was getting a workout.  Leg 2 kept dropping too low in amps and our electric protection gismo was keeping our appliances safe by cutting the power to the rig whenever the amps dropped low enough to harm our equipment.  Spring Valley Campground was filling up for the weekend and the electric service for the campground is not adequate enough to service all the sites/rigs.  We had a choice:  1) Stay and put up with the fluctuating amps or 2) Depart a day early and head down the road.

After an Internet search, a new location was located just 50 miles south in Marietta, Ohio.  There was plenty of room at the Washington County Fairgrounds with 50 amps full hook up availability. So......... Saturday became a travel day as we relocated.

It actually is a win/win because not only are we enjoying safe/strong/steady power, we have just shortened our trip to our next destination by an hour.....from a 5 hour haul to a 4 hour haul.  Yay!!
Dad also got to wash his Ram while we are here in Marietta  as did Uncle Steve.  Another plus.

On the minus side, Uncle Steve was REALLY looking forward to another visit to Parkside Ice Cream Treats in Cambridge for some more of that 'Queen of Hearts' deep, rich chocolate ice cream with tiny chocolate hearts mixed in.

That ice cream sure put a smile on his face as that delightful smooth, enchanting cocoa flavor teased his palate with every spoonful.

But never fear, there is always another experience awaiting.  This time it was Dad who had that ''over the top" delightful feeling as he plowed into his banana split here in Marietta.

Uncle Steve had to be satisfied with your basic soft, chocolate ice cream.  Nothing too exotic, but tasty just the same.

I wonder why I never get any ice cream?  At least I am enjoying all this grass to chase my ball.  There is only one other camper on the other side of the lot.  It's like having my own dog yard/field to play in here without having to share with anyone.

I'm Chloe
