When one friend departs, another arrives. This friend is much more my size than Sue. She is a 9 month old Poodle Aussie mix with as much enthusiasm as I have for running, racing, and PLAY!
Nekedah and I have tousled, romped, flopped, and wrestled to our hearts content. It left us panting and thirsty!! Oh the joy💜😍
Her parent are nice as well and have chatted up a storm with Momma, Dad and their friends.
They fit right in with a love of Culver's custard. Jerry was the only brave one to tackle another banana split but he downsized to a two scoop. Do you think he is up to the challenge of licking the bowl?
Tom and Dad didn't get their treat in a bowl, but their tall cups of concrete mix probably had more custard than Jerry's split. Dad says it's a great way to finish off a delightful day.
Today is travel day and that means leaving this area. What better send off than one last trip to Rise N Roll for a donut with coffee and a few to take on the road. Which one looks the best to you?
Dad says a cinnamon caramel filled with ice cream wins hands down!!
I guess we received a message of sorts this morning. The power went down in the section we were camped in. Well, not really down. One leg was fine but the second leg was only putting out 70 - 95 amps so the surge protector did it's job and protected the rig cutting off the power to the rig. Now you would think that might have slowed down their planned 9 am departure for Rise N Roll. Not so....Dad turned on the generator and off they went for a celebratory, last day treat with their friends.
Super friends who love to play games more than they love petting me. Last night they came over for another round of Fast Track and once the game began, I was ignored. I even tried to get under the table to get their attention. They were focused on their winning game strategy and having way to much fun laughing and playing.
We only had a 3 hour trip to Saline, Michigan. Now you may ask why Saline???? Well, if the Celtic Festival turns out to be as entertaining as it sounds, you'll be getting the details in the next couple of days.
The trip was a bit entertaining for the rig. In other words, with the condition of the roads we traveled, there was quite a bit of movement of items in the 5er. A cupboard door opened that has NEVER opened before but due to some expert packing, only a plastic measuring cup made it out of the cupboard and onto a new location.....the floor. Even the microwave plate decided to shift positions as did the soap in the shower that leaped out of the soap dish and the razor that took a leap off its hook. You get the idea...
The roads may not have been in the best shape but it was a pretty ride through the countryside. Lots of fields, flowers and small communities.... the scenic route....at least that is what Momma told me. I slept in the back seat the whole way. I decided it would be best to rest up just in case I happen to meet another new friend like Nekedah who loves to play.
I'm Chloe
