Hooking up with friends

The fireplace and heater only got one night of rest as we are currently in the middle of a cold front....as in 50 degrees this morning with the temperature remaining in the 60's today.

Now if you ask our friends who have joined us here in Williamsburg about the need for a jacket, they just say "Who needs a jacket?  The weather is great."   While poor Momma is reaching for another layer to add to keep her comfortable.  I guess that's what happens when you reside in Tennessee.  Your body is accustomed to cooler temps.

We all arrived at the campground yesterday.  Pam has what they refer to as a 'buddy site' as our doors are facing each other.  Tina and Steve from Tennessee are staying in cabin #2 at this campground.

They arrived in the evening, as they traveled twice as far as we did, but arrived early enough to get in a quick couple of games of Fast Track.  Just like the good ole days when they used to live in Florida and camp with us.

Today more games were played 

 before heading to Rocco's Smokehouse Grill

Can you guess what they did after dinner?  Yep, a great game of Hand and Foot.  It was guys competing against the gals and the guys were slaughtering the gals winning the first three rounds BUT....round four told a different story.  The gals came from behind, with a win by just 325 points.  Whew!!  Close game.  The game isn't over until the last card is laid.

I'm kind of bummed out as I was hoping Tina and Steve arrived to play with ME, but as it turned out, they are more interested in card and board games than my dog toys.  Oh well,  there really isn't a good grassy area here where I can stretch out and enjoy a good game of catch anyway.
