Smooth transition

Tom Sawyer RV site 102

West Memphis, Arkansas

Don't you just love it when everything comes together like a well laid out plan?  I know it makes Dad smile...and Momma as well.  I mean who wouldn't when they feel like a king or a queen with a beautiful, efficient, smooth functioning, shiny new throne.

It all started around the time of the Escapade Rally.  Dometic had a booth and sitting on the table was a lovely ceramic, gravity flow toilet.  Dad took note because he had just done a complete overhaul of our toilet with new seals...which meant removing the toilet from the floor.  This model is designed for seal replacement without toilet removal.  This toilet also had a feather touch foot flush pedal while our toilet was showing its age....more every day as the pedal began hanging up and sticking...needing assistance to be raised back up.

A phone call later, Momma had located the Dometic 310 series toilet at a nearby Camping World.  I say nearby but they traveled 3 states to get there..Arkansas to Tennessee to Mississippi...but just a 25 minute trip.

Now if you really know Dad, you'll understand his glee when the price of that toilet was lowered to a price match from the Camping World website and then lowered again with a Military Discount.  All in all it added up to a $30 savings.

His installation was a smooth transition from old toilet to new and it was a coin toss to see whether the Queen or the King would sit on the throne first.

Check out the slow close lid
I could probably grab a slurp or two of toilie water before I get gonged on my head.

I told Dad he should have gone for the low profile toilet and maybe I could have been the first to sit upon the throne.

I'm Chloe
