Travel Day

Cotton Hill COE Park

Fort Gaines, Ga

Today is travel day.  We are relocating to a Corps of Engineer Park near Fort Gaines, Georgia.....Cotton Hill Park located on Walter F. George Lake on the Georgia Alabama border.  We have full hook up on a cement pad and with our Senior Pass/Golden Year Pass we are paying $99 for a full week.  It doesn't get much better.

We even have a fire ring, picnic table and a wooden stand.  Plenty of room between sites for being walked on my lead. And yes, geese and ducks.   I saw them on the water.

The guidelines for the park say you need to vacate by 3 and new arrivals are welcome at 4.  Knowing we only had a short haul, our day was structured to give everyone time to enjoy a nice Sunday breakfast at their rigs before gathering at the clubhouse for another ..... yep....  game.

Around noon the first couple of rigs headed out and by 1pm the last rigs had departed.  We travel in couples or small groups so we aren't a hinderance to others on the highway.  Momma took the wheel once again to give Dad's shoulder a break.  The majority of the trip was on 4 lane roads but I can't truthfully say it was a smooth surface to drive on.  Dad didn't seem to mind as he napped for part of the trip.

We  have added 3 additional rigs to our group bringing our total to 11 rigs/22 people now for a week of comaraderie.

While the two legged enjoyed social hour, I finished unpacking.  I now have most of my toys strategically placed around the rig for easy access.  Some in the bedroom.  Some in the bathroom.  Some by the front door.  Some by the recliners.  I try not to put any in the kitchen by the sink or stove as that really seems to bug Momma for some reason.  I really can't understand why she wouldn't want to  take a break from cooking or washing dishes to play a bit.   Go figure.

Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention that Dad is resigning from the "I forgot to bring" group as the Leprechaun has finally revealed where he hid the phone charger cord.

I'm Chloe
