Day two in Georgia

 March18, 2021

Day two at Sugar Mill RV Park

Okay, so it rained this morning but it didn't begin until after I had my morning walk and the rain totally knocked the pollen.  I mean there are rivers of pollen on the ground.  Better there than in the air for sure!!  It's a good thing,  Dad's truck was covered with pollen once again until the rains. I think he's smiling more now when he looks toward his truck.

Now don't think a little rain kept the two legged from having fun.  Dirty Uno was the name of the game and it was full of laughs and got a tad rowdy.  I think I could hear the laughing roar at our rig.

By lunchtime the sun was shining once again.  Yep, I was left to guard the rig once again while all the two-legged headed for the BIG Oak Tree in downtown Thomasville.  It's well over 300 years old and very popular with the visitors in the area.

The website says if you call the phone number posted, the camera across the street will take your picture for you to share on the internet but the sign posted apologized for not being available today.  From there, the carpool headed into the downtown area for some exploring.  The gals explored the shops while the guys held down the park benches

until everyone decided to take a rest break.

I got excited when I saw Auntie Carol's shopping back.  I just knew it had to be treats for ME but alas, she is visiting a grandchild this weekend and she won't be arriving empty handed.  Atleast the cookie bone treat jar is still full.  I think it's time to visit her rig again and raid the goodie jar!

The downtown area is well maintained and has some interesting shops.  Check out the tables Momma found in the cupcake shop.

I think they refer to that as recycled doors.  Clever idea!!  Cute shop!!  Bob brought back a lemon treat that he said was well worth the trip into the store.  Yummy!!

Right on schedule, the gang circled the chairs outdoors for a social hour before they headed back to the clubhouse for a potluck dinner.  It sure must have been good as they appeared to be doing a bit of waddling as they left the clubhouse.  Dad says this group always shares tasty meals!!

And the day wouldn't be complete without another game night...Mexican Train tonight.  Momma was so excited because her friend Kathy, who never plays games with us seemed to be enjoying herself.  I have to admit thought, the males seemed to dominate the winning rounds.

Poor Momma is still having trouble bonding with Siri on her phone.  She asked Siri to call Jonah's Fish and Grits for her.  It went like this:

"Hey Siri, call Jonah's Fish and Grits.

I can't find that number in your contacts

Jonah's Fish and Grits

I found Jonah'f Fish (pause) and Grits on Jackson Street.  Is that the one?
