Birthday month has ended

Momma can certainly say that her birthday month began with a celebration sweet treat and ended the same way. Her friends saw to that.  Thanks for a great kick off Steve and Carol and a grand finale Jan and Bill.

And her family saw to it that her actually birthday was 'special' as well.  Thanks to Dad, Gary, Sarah and Oliver!!  September was a GREAT month!!

You meet the nicest people while RVing.  Jan and Bill have been RV friends for several years, having met while traveling out west.   They have relocated to Wintersville, Ohio so Momma planned our route for a visit.  We are actually staying over the river in West Virginia at a 'campground'...well, it does have one occupied camper and one empty camper here beside us....with full hook up.  This 'campground' was developed when the fracking workforce was in the area.  It's a no frills piece of land.  We haven't even met the owner, but Momma spoke with her on the phone.  It works for us as it is close to our friends and it has full hook up on a fairly level piece of ground.  There are no interior roads.  It's just a piece of land with hook ups.

Can you believe we traveled in 3 states today.  Our journey began in Pennsylvania with a pretty drive heading south on 79.  Everyday there is a bit more color added.

Roadwork was happening so the two lanes were merged into one lane.

If the drivers would just merge into one lane like a zipper, traffic could have kept moving rather than the stop and go created by 'hurried' drivers attempting to race ahead to get as close to the front of the right lane of traffic before they merged from the left into the right lane.  All those vehicles rushing ahead caused the right lane to stop while all those anxious drivers forced their way into the front of the right lane.  Dad finally used our large size to block off those rushing ahead so traffic could move more smoothly.  

It was a short drive to West Virginia and we settled in quickly.  Then Momma and Dad ran off, crossing the river into Ohio, to catch up on all the latest with their old friends...and enjoy a square ...yep, not round....delicious pizza followed by birthday celebration cake.  

So long September until 2024.
