St. Johnsville Marina and CG
St. Johnsville, NY
This was a wonderful travel day. You can really begin to feel fall in the air. It was brisk early this morning, although Momma and Dad called it down right COLD. Not only did they have the fireplace going, but Dad actually turned on the heat pump. I had no problems as I always have my fur coat with me. Actually, I don't get hot as quickly so I can chase after my ball much longer. I like it!!
As we headed south, there was a tease of fall color just beginning to show.
The temperature never made it out of the 60's today. Something about a front passing thru.
We are staying close to the area that Momma and Dad grew up in. It didn't take long before Momma and Dad hooked up with Dad's high school buddy, Bob and his wife Kathy. I wish I had gone with them to see my friend Heidi.
I'm just a couple of weeks older than Heidi, even if she is bigger than me. I guess that's what happens when you are a German Shepherd.Once again, there are empty sites even though this is a small campsite. We are located along the Mohawk River. Boats that are traveling to and from the St. Lawrence area stop in for supplies or to spend the night.
So we have the river on one side of us and another mode of transportation on the other side of us.....the train. Needless to say, the trains are much noisier than the boats. And as it turns out, we are in the row closest to the trains. Momma said it doesn't bother her. She doesn't hear a single train when she takes out her hearing aides.
Momma and Dad said they taught Bob and Kathy how to play Swoop. Let the games begin!!
I'm Chloe
