Deja vu

 September 18-19, 2022

Country Hill Campground site 26

Marathon, NY

Well, it could have been much worse.  We were ALMOST ahead of the rain....and it was only a sprinkle..... thank goodness not a down pour.  We hitched up and headed for the dump station just as the light rain began.  Our trip took us in and out of light showers but it was dry skies by the time we reached our destination.

The ride had a tad of color

but not a full blown red, orange, yellow all over display.  Still a tad too early for that.

Just a sampling of what is in the future.  Dad said it's much too cold to hang around though with nightly temps getting into the 50's.  We've been using the furnace every morning.

As we pulled into Country Hills Campground, Momma and Dad realized that they had been here before in 2016...that's before I was born.  They had joined the Mohawk Roamers, the group they had just spent the weekend with, at a September 2016 campout here.  Momma had to search her photos to come up with the year.  As our escort led us around the pond to get us headed in the right direction to enter our pull thru site, Momma and Dad remembered taking a wagon ride around the pond in 2016 with their camping friends.

Memories....

I asked Dad where my camping buddy, Heidi was.

I've been watching for her to come and play.

Dad broke the sad news to me.  She didn't follow us here.

We are once again on our own.  As you can see, there are empty sites next to us.

Maybe we will get neighbors later today?

Come on Heidi, there's room for you!!  We can romp and play somemore until our tongues hang low.

I'm Chloe
