The Project

 October 26, 2020

Crossville, Tennessee

Momma says it's all Steve's fault.  Hardly any sunshine in the past 3 days.....ever since Steve began "The Project".  You see, anyone who travels quite a bit in this day and age uses numerous 'gadgets' that seem to fill up the front of the vehicle, especially the windsheild area where the sun tends to shine in.

There is a gadget for navigation ...or maybe two...., a camera to record the trip and a tire minder to keep track of the tire pressure/temperature of those numerous tires under you and behind you.  It's hard to monitor those gadgets when the sun is interfering with the screen's view so.......

Steve went into production mode to produce the perfect shade for his tire minder.  It all began with a simple empty box made of cardboard and it wasn't finished until Carol added the rhinestone finishing touches.  A very professional looking prototype.

Now the question still remains unanswered....'Does it keep the sun off?' ..... as we haven't had any sunshine to truly test out the finished product.   And why have we suffered from lack of bright sunshine.....possibly because Steve is really looking forward to testing out his model and that has put a hex on the sunshine????

The missing bright sun on the colorful foliage display hasn't really dampened our adventure.

The weather has been VERY enjoyable with the lack of Florida heat that we were looking forward to escaping.  Mission accomplished for sure!!

Being a Monday when many businesses closed up, we wound up with a Walmart run and a day of games.  I'm happy to report the ladies didn't let up and the men suffered defeat several times today.  Now if my name was Claude instead of Chloe, I would be identifying with the males, but I'm proud to say we females ROCK!!  Well, we rock today anyway.   Momma always says, "It can change in a heartbeat!"

Too bad I'm not allowed 'people food'.  All I get to do is smell all those apple dishes baking.  Apple pie yesterday.  Apple scones this morning.  Apple crisp this evening.  It's almost time to make another run to the Apple House.

At least the dog treats have been plentiful between coffee breaks with Dad and Auntie Carol's visits with full pockets.  Life is good....

I'm Chloe
